Stardew Valley is a farming simulation game that comes with a unique twist. Instead of simply planting fruits and vegetables and waiting until it is time to harvest them, players are also tasked with finding a wife for the farmer and help him setting down happily ever after.
Getting Down on the Farm
At first glance, Stardew Valley appears to be very similar to a number of other popular games of this type, which may make some gamers wonder why it is worth taking it on. The main thing that separates this game from the competition is that the game comes with a cool back story and plenty of dialogue between characters. While there is a nice range of tasks for gamers to complete, once the farmer has made his love connection and has plenty of money in the bank things start to get a little dull.
Time to Get to Work
As with many games of this type, Stardew Valley replies on it’s highly addictive nature to keep players coming back for more. Although there are certain extra elements in this game that help to keep the game play more diverse, even those can wear thin rather quickly and gamers who are looking for fast paced action are likely to be disappointed, although Stardew Valley does have a certain charm that is likely to appeal to those who prefer to keep it simple. Enjoy!
